Macedonia’s Makosped swings to non-cons net loss in H1

August 11 (SeeNews) - Macedonian transport and retail holding group Makosped [MSE:MKSD] said it has turned to a non-consolidated net loss of 2.3 million denars ($44,000/37,400 euro) in the first half of 2017 from a net profit of 936,000 denars in the like period of last year.

The company’s operating income fell 24% year-on-year to 28.2 million denars in the first half of 2017, Makosped said in a bourse filing on Thursday.

Operating costs fell 3% to 32.6 million denars in the period under review.

Last month, Makosped acquired 257 shares in local peer Fersped [ME:FERS], boosting its stake in the company to 8.82%.

Makosped is active in international forwarding services, warehousing, export and import trade and retail. The company has 20 units across Macedonia and four representative offices abroad.
