Macedonia’s Makosped 9-mo net profit nearly halves

October 30 (SeeNews) - Macedonian transport and retail holding Makosped [MSE:MKSD] said on Tuesday its net profit fell to some 10.0 million denars ($209,720/162,600 euro) in the first nine months of 2012 from 18.6 million denars a year ago.

The company’s operating income decreased by 36% to some 63 million denars in the first nine months of the year, while operating costs decreased to 56.6 million denars from 93.3 million denars a year ago, Makosped said in a statement sent to the Macedonian Stock Exchange.

Makosped (www.makosped.com.mk) is active in international forwarding services, warehousing, export and import trade and retail. The company has 20 units across Macedonia and four representative offices abroad.
