September 17 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in July dropped 4.0% on the year to 105,051 after rising by an annual 2.8% a month earlier, data of the country's Statistics Office showed.
In July, overnights fell by an annual 9.5% to 624,613 with foreigners accounting for 72,525 of the total, the statistics office said in a statement.
A total of 335,705 tourists visited Macedonia in the first seven months of 2009, up by 0.3% on the year. Overnights for the period decreased by an annual 5.4% to 1,127,177.
