Budget revenue amounted to 113.793 billion denars through October, while spending totalled 102.793 billion denars, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.

Macedonia’s government has projected a budget deficit of 11 billion denars for 2009, equivalent to 2.8% of its planned gross domestic product.
Macedonia is pursuing a tight fiscal policy, with macroeconomic stability and strong economic development as priorities for next year, in view of the country's status as an official EU candidate since December 2005, though not having a date for starting negotiations yet.
