September 16 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Macedonia in the first half of 2009 fell by an annual 55.7% to 109.9 million euro ($161.3 million), central bank data indicated.

Macedonia's government expects the FDI inflow to slow down this year due to the global economic crisis. In 2008, FDI in Macedonia fell by 18.5% to 412.5 million euro.
