Macedonia's end-Sept gross foreign debt rises 7.7% y/y

December 31 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's gross foreign debt rose 7.7% on the year to $8.0 billion (6.5 billion euro) at the end of September and was equivalent to 74.88% of the gross domestic product (GDP) projected for this year, central bank data indicated on Wednesday.

Macedonia’s public foreign debt increased 19% on the year to some $4.0 billion at the end of September and was equivalent to 37.13% of the country's GDP projected for this year, the central bank said in a statement published on its website.

The country's general government foreign debt rose to $2.72 billion at the end of the third quarter from $2.2 billion a year earlier.
