Macedonia's End-Nov Mandatory Pension Fund Assets Rise 3.0% M/M

December 10 (SeeNews) - The net assets managed by Macedonia's two mandatory pension funds totalled 8.263 billion denars ($197.4 million/134.1 million euro) at the end of November, up 3.0% from a month earlier, official data showed on Thursday.

KB Prv Otvoren Penziski Fond (KB Prv) ranked first with 4.394 billion denars in net assets at the end of November, followed by NLB Penziski Fond (NLB), with 3.869 billion denars in net assets, according to figures released by the country's pension insurance supervision agency, MAPAS.

Domestic bonds accounted for some 58% of NLB's assets at end-November, deposits - for 33%, domestic shares - 6.0%, foreign securities - 2.0% and cash - 1.0%.

In the case of KB Prv, domestic bonds made 57% of total assets, deposits - 38% and domestic shares - 5.0%.

KB Prv had 123,797 clients at end-November compared to NLB's 109,944.

KB Prv is managed by KB Prvo Drustvo za Upravuvanje so Penziski Fondovi (www.kbprvo.com.mk), co-owned by Slovenia's Skupina Prva DD with a 51% stake and Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje with 49%.

NLB is managed by Nov Penziski Fund. Slovenia’s Nova Ljubjanska Banka (NLB) owns 51% of Nov Penziski Fund and its Macedonian unit, NLB Tutunska Banka AD Skopje, holds a 49% stake.

Macedonia has a population of two million.
