Macedonia’s Doka-Tekstil opens two textile plants in new industrial zone

SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 1 (SeeNews) – Macedonian company Doka-Tekstil opened two textile plants in the Macedonian southern industrial zone Rabrovo, worth a combined 2.5 million euro ($3.2 million), the government in Skopje said.

The first tenant in the zone near the town of Valandovo opened 300 new jobs, Macedonian government said in a statement on Friday, after government officials attended the opening ceremony.

The plants’ annual production is set at 5 million pieces of textile, while the entire output is aimed for the European Union's market, Doka-Tekstil's owner Toni Pandev was quoted as saying in the government statement.

A total of 48 land plots have already been sold in the Rabrovo zone.
