Macedonia's CableTel Launches Fixed-Line Voice Service, First to Offer Triple Play Bundle

CableTel is the first operator in Macedonia to offer a triple play service, CableTel's operating manager Goran Poposki told a news conference.

The company plans its network to have nationwide coverage by September 2009, CableTel’s executive director Stojan Gjorgoski said. CableTEL is now present in Skopje, and four other Macedonian towns.

CableTel will compete on the Macedonian fixed-line voice segment with the market's dominant operator, Makedonski Telekom AD, a unit of Magyar Telekom, Internet provider OnNet’s Ontel, and Greek-owned Cosmofon.

CableTel Macedonia is owned by UK-registered Ramford Alliance Limited.
