Macedonia’s Alkaloid raises capital of Alkaloid KONS unit

December 25 (SeeNews) - Macedonian drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Thursday it has increased the capital of its wholly-owned unit Alkaloid KONS by 50 million denars ($1.0 million/813,000 euro).

The increase, which took place on December 24, aims to expand the company's product portfolio and strengthen its market position, Alkaloid said in a filing with the Macedonian Stock Exchange.

Alkaloid KONS cooperates with almost 20 foreign companies and distributes approximately 1,000 pharmaceutical products.

Skopje-based Alkaloid, a component of the bourse's blue-chip MBI index, has representative offices in more than 10 countries and distributes its products on around 30 markets.
