Macedonia’s Alkaloid 9-mo cons net profit falls 1.0%

October 30 (SeeNews) - Macedonian drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Tuesday its consolidated net profit edged down to some 435 million denars ($9.1 million/7.1 million euro) in the first nine months of 2012 from 437.8 million denars a year ago.

Sales revenues fell by 1.0% on the year to 4.9 billion denars in the first nine months, while operating profit decreased to 504 million denars from 511 million denars, Alkaloid said in a filing with the Macedonian Stock Exchange.

Alkalod (www.alkaloid.com.mk), based in the capital Skopje, is a component of the bourse's blue-chip MBI index. It has representative offices in more than 10 countries and distributes its products on some 30 markets.
