December 12 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in the first ten months of 2012 rose by 2.7% on the year to nearly 597,500, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday.
Tourist overnights decreased by an annual 1.5% to some 2.0 million through October, with foreign nationals accounting for over 737,000 of the total, the statistics office said in a statement.
In October alone, a total of 51,512 tourists visited Macedonia, up by 4.3% on the year, while overnights rose by an annual 2.8% to 122,498.
