Macedonian Wine Maker Tikves 9-mo Prelim Net Profit Falls 84.4% - Table

October 28 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's largest wine producer Vinarska Vizba Tikves AD said on Tuesday its preliminary net profit for the January-September period fell by 84.4% on the year to 19.73 million denars ($431,729/347,384 euro), despite a rise in sales.

Following are figures from Tikves' income statement, sent to the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) (in millions of denars):

The company’s stock closed at 5,191 denars on Monday, 8.9% down from Friday. The financial statement was released before trading hours on Tuesday.

Tikves (www.tikves.com.mk) is based in Kavadarci, in southern Macedonia. It processes some 55,000 tonnes of grapes a year to produce an average 350,000 litres of wine. It produces blended wines from 30 varieties and sells them under 24 brand names.

Tikves exports its output to Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, the European Union, Russia, Ukraine, Canada, Australia and the United States.
