December 18 (SeeNews) - Macedonian stock indices ended mixed in higher turnover this week, bourse data showed on Friday.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC (MSE), closed at 2,804.43 points on Friday, up 0.4% from a week ago. The MBID index, which comprises the 10 most liquid joint stock companies with reporting obligations, fell 0.6% from last Friday to 3,010.32 points.
The MSE's total turnover rose to 51.5 million denars ($1.2 million/ 843,466 euro) in five trading days this week from 44.6 million denars in four trading sessions last week. Turnover on the bourse's official floor declined to 35.9 million denars from 37.4 million denars last week.
Turnover on the unofficial floor doubled to 15.6 million denars from 7.2 million denars last week.
The Macedonian bourse was closed on December 8 for the St. Kliment Ohridski public and market holiday.
Pharmaceutical company Alkaloid AD Skopje was the most traded stock this week, recording a turnover of 8.9 million denars.

The MSE bond index, OMB, edged down 0.03% at 109.92 points.
