Macedonian Stocks Drop, Turnover Rises

August 21 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) fell in higher turnover this week, bourse data showed on Friday.

Macedonian Stocks Drop, Turnover Rises

The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the MSE, on Friday closed at 2,533.23 points, 0.3% down from a week earlier. The MBID index, which comprises the 10 most liquid companies, dropped 1.4% from last Friday to 2,258.33.

The MSE's total turnover rose to 63.94 million denars ($1.5 million/1.0 million euro) this week from 52.46 million denars last week.

Turnover on the bourse's official floor increased to 46 million denars from 45.5 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor jumped to 18 million denars from 6.9 million denars last week.

Komercijalna Banka was the most traded issue on the official market this week, posting a total turnover of 4.8 million denars. Its share traded at 2,537.46 denars on Friday, down from 2,541.67 dinars a week ago.

The MSE bond index, OMB, rose 1.18% to 104.50 points this week.
