November 27 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian stock indices dropped this week as turnover more than doubled, bourse data showed on Friday.
The Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC (MSE) was opened on Saturday to compensate for Tree Planting Day, a public and market holiday observed on November 13.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian Stock Exchange, closed at 3,033.57 points on Friday, down 5.6% from last Saturday. The broader MBID index, which comprises the 11 most liquid stocks, fell 2.7% from last Saturday to 3,184.68 points.
The MSE's total turnover surged to 148.2 million denars ($3.4 million/2.4 million euro) from 69.4 million denars last week. Turnover on the bourse's official floor rose to 128.4 million denars from 52.1 million denars last week.
Turnover on the unofficial floor increased to 19.8 million denars from 17.3 million denars a week earlier.
Construction company Granit AD Skopje was most traded this week, recording a turnover of 13 million denars.

The MSE bond index, OMB, closed up 4.4% at 111.13 points.
