The MBI-10 index, tracking the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian bourse, on Friday closed up 0.5% from a week earlier at 3.018,85 points. The MBID index, which includes the shares of the 10 most liquid public companies, closed up 2.6% from last Friday at 3.321,15.
“There was some market stabilisation amid low liquidity”, Julijana Angelovska from Alta Vista Broker told SeeNews. According to her, the minor rally of the MSE indices was a short-term effect from Barack Obama’s victory in the U.S. presidential election, held on November 4.
Total turnover on the MSE fell to 152.6 million denars ($3.17 million/2.48 million euro) this week from 163.63 million denars a week earlier. Turnover on the official floor fell to 92.7 million denars from 157.05 million denars last week. However, the turnover on the unofficial floor rose to 59.9 million denars from 6.57 million denars a week earlier.
The shares of Komercijalna_Banka_AD_Skopje were the most traded this week with transactions worth 20.9 million denars.
