The MBI-10 index, tracking the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian bourse, on Friday closed down 9.1% from a week earlier at 3.002,20 points, but was 1.5% higher compared to Thursday. After the MBI-10 fell by 8.65% on Monday, it stabilised around 3,000 points by the end of the week, bourse data showed. The MBID index, which includes the shares of the 10 most liquid public companies, closed down 3.4% from last Friday at 3.235,28.
Elaborating on bourse movements this week, Julijana Angelovska from Alta Vista Broker told SeeNews that the local market is responding more to the negative rather than the positive news from abroad.
World stock markets mostly fell on Friday, after a strong rally earlier in the week.
The shares of Komercijalna_Banka_AD_Skopje were the most traded this week with transactions worth 40.21 million denars ($836,401 million/658,159 million euro).
Total turnover on the MSE rose to 163.63 million denars ($3.40 million/2.68 million euro) this week from 139.01 million denars a week earlier. Turnover on the official floor rose to 157.05 million denars from 133.2 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor rose to 6.57 million denars from 5.8 million denars a week earlier.

The MSE bond index, OMB, closed at 103.96, 0.1% down from a week earlier.
The MSE board of directors decided earlier this week to extend the bourse’s trading hours by one hour as of Thursday. The stock market is now open from 1000 to 1300 (local time). It previously closed at 1200.
