October 2 (SeeNews) - The indices of the Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC (MSE) jumped this week as turnover more than doubled, bourse data showed on Friday.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the MSE, closed at 3,109.97 points, up 4.9% from last Friday. The broader MBID index, which comprises the 11 most liquid public companies, added 11.7% from last Friday to 3,234.41.
The MSE's total turnover more jumped to 146.1 million denars ($3.5 million/2.4 million euro) from 59.7 million denars in last week's four trading sessions. The Skopje bourse was closed on September 21, following the Muslims’ Bayram holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan on September 20.
Turnover on the bourse's official floor rose to 126.5 million denars from 45.1 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor increased to 19.7 million denars from 14.5 million denars a week earlier.
Construction company Granit AD Skopje was the most traded company this week, with a total turnover of 18.75 million denars.

The MSE bond index, OMB, edged up 0.3% to 105.22 this week.
