October 30 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian stock indices dropped this week in higher turnover, bourse data showed on Friday.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC (MSE), closed at 3,497.59 points, down 2.8% from last Thursday. The broader MBID index, which comprises the 11 most liquid stocks, fell 5.3% from last Thursday to 3,716.22.
The MSE was closed last Friday for Revolutionary Struggle Day, a public and market holiday.
The MSE's total turnover rose to 141.1 million denars ($3.4 million/2.3 million euro) from the 131.2 million denars generated over four working days a week earlier.
Turnover on the bourse's official floor rose to 128.4 million denars from 90.6 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor fell to 12.6 million denars from 40.6 million denars a week earlier.
The shares of drug company Alkaloid AD Skopje were the most traded this week, recording a turnover of 18.2 million denars.

The MSE bond index, OMB, edged down 0.1% to 106.23 points this week.
