Macedonian Stock Exchange Cuts Daily Price Fluctuation Range

MSE’s Board of Directors decided on Wednesday to lower the daily permitted share price fluctuations on the official floor from +/-10% to +/-5% of the basic stock price, while on the unofficial floor, the share price fluctuation range is set at +/-10%, MSE said in a statement. There was no limit previously.

Following the global bear trend on fears of a world-wide recession, the blue-chip index, MBI-10, fell sharply to 3.623.66 points on Wednesday, 7.6% down from a day earlier, hitting the lowest point this year.

Macedonian stocks have been mostly falling in low turnover for months, with some brokers saying they do not expect any market improvement as long as the global financial crisis persists.
