December 30 (SeeNews) - Macedonian shares ended mixed in thin pre-holiday trading on Wednesday, the last working day for the Skopje stock market this week, bourse data showed on Wednesday.
The bourse in Skopje will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the New Year holidays.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC (MSE), closed at 2,751.88 points on Wednesday, down 0.5% from last Friday.
The MBID index, which comprises the 10 most liquid joint stock companies with reporting obligations, rose 1.0% from last Friday to 3,035.98 points.
The MSE's total turnover fell to 25.7 million denars ($602,819/420,857 euro) in the three trading sessions of this week from 63.6 million denars in five sessions last week.
Turnover on the bourse's official floor decreased to 14.5 million denars from 49.8 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor fell to 11.2 million denars from 13.9 million denars last week.
Drug company Alkaloid AD Skopje was the most traded stock this week, recording a turnover of 2.9 million denars.
