Macedonian Holding Company Fersped 9-Mo Prelim Net Profit Rises 30% - Table

SKOPJE (Macedonia), November 3 (SeeNews) – Macedonian holding company Fersped AD Skopje on Monday reported a 30% annual increase in the preliminary net profit for the nine months of 2008 to 170.16 million denars ($3.54 million /2.75 million euro).

Following are details from Fersped's income statement filed with the Macedonian Stock exchange (MSE), where the company is listed (in millions of denars):

The company stock closed flat at 82,230 denars on Friday.

Fersped (www.fersped.com.mk) says it is the biggest forwarding company in Macedonia. It owns the Skovin winery, the five-star Aleksandar Palace hotel in the capital, Skopje, and three smaller hotels, a savings institution and a brokerage firm. The company also controls the Macedonian Lottery. Its core business is international and inland forwarding and warehousing. Fersped is also the authorised distributor for Information technology giant IBM in Macedonia.
