Macedonian financial regulator oks Alpha Bank capital hike

SKOPJE (Macedonia), December 19 (SeeNews) – Macedonia's financial regulator said on Wednesday it gave the green light to local Alpha Bank to raise its capital by 307.44 million denars ($6.5 million/5.0 million euro) with the purpose of increasing its capital adequacy.

Macedonian financial regulator oks Alpha Bank capital hike

Alpha Bank will issue in private placement 2,562 new ordinary shares, the Macedonian Securities and Exchange Commission said in a statement.

The new shares will be offered to the bank’s sole shareholder, Greece’s Alpha Bank, the regulator said without providing other details.

The capital of the Skopje-based bank is divided into 7,743 ordinary shares with a par value of 120,000 denars each, according to end-June data.
