October 15 (SeeNews) - Macedonian privately-owned confectioner Jadran Gottino Foods has opened a new 2.5 million euro ($3.7 million) production unit at its factory in Negotino, in eastern Macedonia, the government in Skopje said.
Jadran’s new production unit will increase the factory’s annual production capacity to 7,000 tones and will raise its exports by 70%. The project is expected to create 100 new jobs over the next two years, the government said in a statement on Wednesday.
Jadran (www.jadran.com.mk) was set up in 1956. The company, which has implemented the HACCP food safety standard, currently produces croissants and Turkish delight-type desserts, according to its website.
