Macedonia sells 252.5 mln denars (4.1 mln euro) in 5-yr T-notes

SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 16 (SeeNews) – Macedonia sold a combined 252.5 million denars ($5.3 million/4.1 million euro) of five-year Treasury notes in two separate auctions on Tuesday, the central bank said.

The ministry offered and sold out 123 million denars in five-year T-notes bearing an annual coupon of 5.7%, the central bank, which sells government paper on behalf of the finance ministry, said in a statement.

The five-year T-notes will mature on August 9, 2017.

In a separate auction, the finance ministry offered and sold out 129.5 million denars of five-year government securities whose price is pegged to the denar/euro exchange rate.

The issue, which will mature on October 18, 2017, bears an annual coupon of 5.5%.
