The third-quarter Business sentiment indicator (BSI), based on expectations of managers in the construction sector, fell by 18.3 points from the same period of 2008, and was 2.2% down from the previous quarter, Statistics Office data showed.
The most limiting factors for construction managers in the first quarter were lack of demand (25.1%), shortage of equipment (13.5%) and increased costs (12.8%), the statement said.
The Statistics Office releases monthly data for the BSI in the manufacturing industry, and quarterly data for the BSI in the construction and retail sectors.
