Macedonia - Media Review – September 18

VECER

- Macedonia's Agency for Electronic Communications (AEK) said it will not revoke the digital TV broadcasting licence that it has awarded to local wireless operator Cosmofon despite the company missing the September 4 deadline for the rollout of the service. AEK has accepted Cosmofon’s explanation that the necessary equipment was not delivered on time as suppliers have request an additional eight weeks. Cosmofon, owned by Telekom Slovenije, has committed to make the service commercially available as of November 15, AEK said.

- Macedonia’s Youth Entrepreneur Service unveiled on Thursday a new portal, www.pretpriemac.mk, aimed at people that want to start their own business.

UTRINSKI VESNIK

- The local enforcement of the HACCP standard on food safety starts on October 1 and there will be no further extensions to the deadline, Veterinary Administration director Dejan Runtevski said.
