- Macedonia's Constitutional Court said it is not competent to decide on the lawfulness of the tender for awarding a 10-year digital television licence called earlier this year by the Agency for Electronic Communications. The tender was won by Telekom Slovenije, owner of Macedonian ISP On.net and local wireless operator Cosmofon, which is expected to launch the service this autumn. The Center for Media Development NGO has contested the results of the tender.
- Macedonia ranked 32nd among 183 countries in the World Bank's Doing Business 2010 Report, the World Bank’s Resident Representative to Macedonia, Markus Repnik said. He added that Macedonia has made a big step forward in improving its business climate, considering that three years ago it ranked 92nd among 175 world economies.
