- The information technology (IT) sector is the fastest-growing industry in Macedonia, Microsoft’s director for Macedonia, Ilijanco Gagovski, said at the company’s seventh innovation conference “Vision”. There are 4-5 Macedonian IT firms that are very successful on the international market, he added.

- Macedonian power producer ELEM announced an international tender on Wednesday to import 72 gigawatt hours of electricity in December at an average price is 55 euro per megawatthour.
VREME
- E-commerce is expanding in Macedonia, as the number of companies that operate in this sector has increased to 30 now from only two firms that were active last year, local NGO Metamorphosis said. The transactions are made mainly through UniBanka, IK Banka and NLB Tutunska Banka, with Visa and MasterCard being the most popular credit cards in use.
