- The European Commission’s main negative comments in its 2009 report on Macedonia's progress towards EU accession refer to the country's failure to liberalise prices in the energy and telecommunications sectors, Macedonian Economy Minister Fatmir Besimi said.

- Macedonian Securities Commission gave the green light to military equipment producer Eurokompozit Prilep to issue 1,692,245 new shares worth 8.6 million euro and offer them to the government in a debt-for-equity swap.
