DNEVNIK
- The Macedonian Agency for Foreign Investments said it will raise the number of foreign investments promoters by nine from the current 23. The new promoters are appointed for eight countries: Belgium, South Korea, U.S., Japan, Poland, Australia, Spain and Turkey.
- Macedonia will provide pensions, plus free health care and education for members of some 200 families of former ethnic Albanian National Liberation Army’s rebels that were killed during the ethnic conflict in 2001. The coalition partners in the Macedonian government are expected to finalize the details on pensions by the end of 2009, said an official from ethnic Albanian political party DUI, which is part of the current Macedonian government.

- Macedonian Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said that the bank savings of the population are the key pillar for the stability of local denar currency and the country’s financial sector in general.

- Over 70% of the 70 million euro in farm subsidies earmarked for 2009 have already been paid out to Macedonian farmers, said the director of the government's Agency for Financial Support of Agriculture and Rural Development, Toni Dimovski.
