UTRINSKI VESNIK


- Macedonian steel mill Makstil will end this year with a loss of four million euro and a fall in output of 30%, managing board chairman Minco Jordanov said. He added that the number of employees will be slashed by 200 in 2010, which is 10% of current workforce. Makstil recorded a net profit of 124.4 million euro in 2008.

- The number of employees in industrial enterprises fell by an annual 6.9% in November, Statistics Office data showed.

DNEVNIK

- Ali Ahmeti, the leader of Macedonian ethnic Albanian political party DUI that is part of the coalition government led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, said he will seek a cabinet reshuffle that would probably take place at the end of January.

- Tax collection in the January-November period fell by 10% on the year to some one billion euro, Macedonia’s Public Revenue Office said.
