- Macedonian telecommunications market, which is valued at 400 million euro, has seen consistent growth in several segments, mainly in mobile telephony and broadband Internet, the Transport Ministry said in an analysis based on the Statistics Office and Agency for Electronic Communications’ data for the second quarter of 2009.

- A 49-year old man died on Tuesday following infection with the A/H1N1 virus, the 16th swine flu-related death in Macedonia, the Health Ministry said.

- Sixty percent of Macedonia's population is using postal services on a daily base, while 40% of the people surveyed are using services of other postal operators besides the state-owned Macedonian Post, according to the survey presented by the Macedonian Postal Agency’s director, Vlatko Atanasoski.
