Lumiwings to reduce flight frequency on 4 Tuzla routes - report

Lumiwings will decrease frequencies on flights from Tuzla to Esbjerg, Halmstad, Maastricht, and Saarbrucken from twice weekly to once weekly, aviation news provider Ex-Yu Aviation reported.

In addition, the carrier will not launch flights to Istanbul on March 5, as previously announced by the government of Tuzla canton.

Lumiwing in early December signed a contract with Tuzla airport to open a base at the airport and launch six routes after being selected as the winner in a public call for the introduction of new flights to Tuzla.

Passenger numbers at Tuzla airport increased to 582,336 in 2023, from 466,596 a year earlier.

Tuzla airport is one of Bosnia's four international airports. The others are situated in Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka.

The Tuzla Canton is one of ten cantons making up the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
