Lumiwings has been selected as the winner in a public call for the introduction of new flights to Tuzla airport, news provider Klix reported on Wednesday.
The air carrier could sign a deal with the airport for the new flights by the end of the week, according to the report.
Tuzla airport's director, Dzevad Halilcevic, said on Monday that two airlines have submitted offers in the public call for the introduction of new flights.
Tuzla canton said in October it decided to provide 2.5 million marka ($1.4 million/1.3 million) in subsidies to airlines for flights to the Tuzla airport.
Passenger numbers at Tuzla International Airport increased to 466,596 in 2022, from 299,031 a year earlier.
Tuzla airport is one of Bosnia's four international airports. The others are situated in Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka.
