December 5 (SeeNews) - Albania’s energy corporation, KESH, said it has signed a 305.7 million leks ($3.3 million/3 million euro) contract with a consortium of two local companies for the implementation of a monitoring system at five units of the Vau i Dejes hydropower plant (HPP), one of KESH’s three HPPs along the Drin river cascade.

The tie-up between security systems provider ISEC and electrical systems supplier AlbaElettrica will set up a system to monitor turbines and generators, as well as online monitoring of the air gap between the stator and the rotor of the generators, KESH said a signed contract notice last week.

The project should be implemented within a year.

AlbaElettrica is specialized in trading of electrical materials and equipment, offering design, installation, and maintenance services for various plants, including industrial, household and cooling/heating systems. It was established in 1995, according to Albania's business register.

Established in 2014, ISEC engages in a diverse range of services, including trade, assembly, and maintenance of surveillance systems, electrical installations, and various goods, along with services in informatics training, IT equipment sale, software programming, construction, mineral trade, and transportation.
