Ljubljana stock indices mark fifth consecutive losing session

November 7 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed lower on Monday, recording a five-day losing streak, as energy company Petrol [LJE:PETG] lead the blue-chip fallers, bourse data showed.

Petrol's shares went down 1.43% to 20.7 euro on Monday, LJSE data showed.

Nova Ljubljanska Banka [LJE:NLBR] was the sole gainer among the blue chips, as its shares went up 0.76% to 53 euro. The bank's shares were also the most traded on the bourse on Monday, generating a turnover of 629,959 euro ($629,530).

The blue-chip SBITOP index closed at 1,000.74 points, down 0.36%. The SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, also dropped 0.36%, ending the trading session at 1,252.53 points.

Total daily regulated market turnover increased to 1.3 million euro on Monday from 950,138 euro on Friday.
