December 23 (SeeNews) - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange's (LJSE) blue-chip SBITOP index rose for a second consecutive day on Wednesday, with insurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] leading the blue-chip winners, bourse data showed.
SBITOP rose 0.89% to 893.81 points, after gaining 0.57% on Tuesday, LJSE's daily report indicated.
Sava Re's shares advanced 1.66% to a close of 18.40 euro on Wednesday.
Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] followed, adding 1.37% to close at 29.50 euro.
At the other end, Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] led the blue-chip losers, shedding 1.88% to close at 41.80 euro.
As usual, drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most traded company for the day, rising 1.32% to a close of 91.80 euro in 675,000 euro turnover.
Total daily turnover rose to 1.4 million euro ($1.7 million) on Wednesday, from 638,000 euro on Tuesday.
The bourse will be closed for trading on Thursday and Friday, as Slovenia celebrates Christmas.
