Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport went up 26.1% on the year to 16,621 in the first nine months of 2022, while cargo traffic increased by 12.7% to 9,277 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In September alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 118,787 passengers, up from 65,133 in the respective period of 2021, aircraft movements fell 6.4% to 2,063, while cargo transport went up 10.5% to 1,069 tonnes.
In 2021, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport fell increased 46.4% to 421,934.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
