Lithuania's Maxima Group Opens New Supermarket in Sofia

October 5 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian arm of Lithuanian discount retailer Maxima Group said on Wednesday it opened a new store in the capital Sofia, bringing the number of its supermarkets in the country to 24.

The supermarket, in which the company has invested some 300,000 levs ($204,600/153,400 euro) spreads on some 1,300 square metres and will employ 23, Maxima Bulgaria said in a statement.

Maxima Group (www.maxima.lt) entered the Bulgarian market in 2005 and currently operates around 40 stores in the country of 7.5 million.
