Liebherr to provide 15 cranes to Rijeka Gateway terminal

February 16 (SeeNews) - Liebherr Container Cranes, part of German-Swiss equipment manufacturer Liebherr, said it will supply the Rijeka Gateway container terminal on the northern Croatian Adriatic coast with remote control yard cranes.

"As part of this landmark project, Liebherr will supply the terminal with 15 electric rubber tyre gantry cranes (ERTGs) and two rail mounted gantry cranes (RMG)," Liebherr Container Cranes said in a press release on Tuesday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Rijeka Gateway is a joint venture between and APM Terminals (51%) and Enna Logic (49%).

APM Terminals has said earlier that Rijeka Gateway is expected to be operational by 2025.
