Lidl starts works on 100 mln euro logistics center in Bosnia - municipality

May 27 (SeeNews) - Discount retail chain Lidl, part of Germany’s Schwarz Group, started the construction of a 100 million euro ($108.5 million) logistics distribution center in Bosnia and Herzegovina's municipality of Kiseljak, the municipality said.

The 60,000 sq m logistics distribution center will be built in the business zone Azapovici, the Kiseljak municipality said in a press release last week.

The facility is expected to open 200 job positions.

The German investor established a subsidiary in Bosnia, Lidl BH, in 2021, according to Bosnia's registry of business entities.

In Southeast Europe, Lidl is already present in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Romania.
