October 2 (SeeNews) - German discounter Lidl has bought a land plot in the Serbian city of Nis, Serbian media reported on Tuesday.

The company has also bought out adjacent private plots, ensuring a footprint of around 1.0 hectare, news portal Juzne Vesti (www.juznevesti.com) reported, quoting Ljubisa Janic, the head of the city's real estate directorate.

Lidl has far bought land plots in Subotica, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad, Valjevo and has announced that the Novi Sad supermarket will be completed by the end of 2013, Juzne Vesti said.
