November 1 (SeeNews) - Discount chain Lidl Bulgaria, part of Germany's Lidl Stiftung & Co, will open about twenty jobs in its 100th store in the country, the company told SeeNews on Friday.
Last month, Lidl Bulgaria launched the construction of its 100th store in the country, which is expected to be completed in early 2020.
The new store will spread on an area of 1,892 sq m, of which 1,100 sq m is shopping area, Lidl Bulgaria told SeeNews in an e-mailed statement.
Regarding its financial results for 2019, the company expects a very good year-on-year growth in financial performance indicators, including the number of clients, it said, without quoting numbers.
The discount chain did not disclose any details about the volume of its investment in the new store.
Lidl Bulgaria is planning to open at least five new stores in 2020, most of which located in the larger cities on the country's Black Sea coast.
So far this year Lidl has opened seven new stores in Bulgaria. The company also completed the renovation programme for its existing network, which included 60 stores.
Lidl entered the Bulgarian market in 2010 and currently operates stores in 47 Bulgarian cities, employing 2,700 people.
