Lenders drag Sofia bourse blue-chip index down

SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 1 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index ended its three-day winning streak after closing 0.45% lower at 425.63 points on Thursday, hurt by the two banks among its members.

Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF] led decliners among SOFIX members with a 6.15% share price drop, while First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] erased 1.59%.

The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.12% to 96.48 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.15% to 475.86 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, fell 0.11% to 135.15 points, hurt by a 0.57% decrease in the share price of Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6].

Total daily regulated market trading turnover amounted to 405,000 levs.
