November 22 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit expanded by 13.0% year-on-year to 402.3 million euro ($412.7 million) in October, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Exports rose by 19.1% year-on-year to 86.4 million euro in October, while imports increased by 14.1% to 488.7 million euro, the statistical office said in a statement.
Kosovo's main export destinations in October were Slovenia, North Macedonia and Germany. Mineral products, base metals, various manufactured articles and plastic and rubber products were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, base metals and food made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in October. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and China.
Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 38.3% year-on-year to 3.9 billion euro in 2021.
