December 23 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit expanded by 11.2% year-on-year to 401.4 million euro ($426.4 million) in November, the country's statistical office said.
Exports rose by 4.6% year-on-year to 73.9 million euro in November, while imports increased by 10.1% to 475.4 million euro, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.
Kosovo's main export destinations in November were Germany, North Macedonia and Albania. Base metals, various manufactured articles and plastic and rubber products were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment and food made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in November. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and China.
In 2021, Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 38.3% year-on-year to 3.9 billion euro.
