Kosovo’s Shtime to invest 12 mln euro in infrastructure

February 12 (SeeNews) - The municipality of Shtime in central Kosovo said on Monday it will open tender procedures for five infrastructure projects worth a total of 12.1 million euro ($13 million).

Some 5 million euro have been earmarked for the improvement of the Shtime river bed, the municipality said in a tender announcement.

A project for the construction of a new road connecting the villages of Petrove, Recak and Belince will be allocated some 2.5 million euro. The construction of another road connecting the villages of Godanc, Rashince, and Muzeqine has been estimated at 900,000 euro.

A project envisaging overhaul of eight town roads damaged by heavy trucks is estimated to cost 1.2 million euro.

For the construction of a new building to accommodate local government headquarters, some 2.5 million euro have been earmarked.

The tenders’ opening dates have yet to be announced.
