PRISTINA (Kosovo), October 24 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's trade deficit edged up by 0.1% year-on-year to 257.3 million euro ($286.2 million) in September, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Exports rose by 4.7% to 38.4 million euro in September, while imports increased by 0.6% to 295.7 million euro, the Agency of Statistics said in a monthly economic report.
Kosovo's main export destinations in September were Albania, India and North Macedonia. Base metals, plastic products, mineral products as well as food, beverages and tobacco were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, base metals as well as machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in September. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and North Macedonia.
